  • Cebit 2010
    The institute of Business Computing of the University Erlangen-Nürnberg for Open-I presented the originated prototype of an Open-I-platform at the Cebit on March 2nd-6th.
    This was about a innovation platform based on social network, whose main aim is to involve all employees in the process of innovation: Every employee has the possibility to conduce increasing innovation creation intra-company: by participating in generating creative ideas, by providing briefly or detailed feedback on innovation drafts and  advancing the further development, by contributing his knowledge and connections to elaborate concepts
    The prototype caused a stir of interest among representatives of practice and research, who mainly believed in the potential of the IT-based innovative networking as well as the integrated data storage. Thus the open-I-team explicitly thanks Bayern Innovative’s team and as well as all helping hands and supporters of the project because without them the project's success would not have been possible in this way because without them the project's success would not have been possible in this dimension.

  • Open-I presented its objectives of research and the results of the first year's successful cooperation in the joint project at the 2nd forum for future innovative capability on 2nd and 3rd of April. The project was presented both at a stand and during a guided tour around the market place, which a lot of researches and trainees attended, and gained much interest. Furthermore, the curiosity of researchers as well as of those who are pragmatists of this area stimulated the whole Open-I-team. Thus we explicitly thank all helping hands and supporters of the project because without them the project's success would not have been possible in this way.
  • Chosen for the Professional Development Workshop at the TIM Division from the Academy of Management were: a PDW organized by Prof. Dr. Möslein and Dr. Neyer together with Prof. Dr. Piller (RWTH Aachen) about the materia of „Exploring openness of innovation: A methodological discourse“ within the project Open-I was presented, was chosen for the Academy of Managing Meeting 2009 (08.07.- 08.11.2009) in Chicago.
  • Chosen for workshop „Managing Open Innovation Processes – Practice meets Theory“ at the R&D Conference: In conjunction with Prof. Dr. Reger (University of Potsdam) Prof.Dr. Möslein and Dr. Neyer have assembled an interdisciplinary workshop with researchers and pragmatists, which was now chosen for the R&D Management Conference in Vienna (21.06.-24.06.2009). During the 2nd forum for future innovation skills in Berlin (02.04.-03.04.2009),
  • Dr. Seyd talks about chances and risks of Open Innovation. Implementierungs-Kick-Off for the first pilot project within a small group was very popular at DATEV in Nuremberg (12.02.2009).

  • First IT- meeting on the 26th of June 2008 at Munich airport. The partners had the possibility to discuss the experiences with the software and to develop ideas about the demand s of a modular open innovation platform.
  • Kick-off meeting with all partners on the 23rd of April 2008 at the Starnberger See near Munich.
  • The project “Open-I: open innovation within organizations”officially started on the 1st of January 2008.
