Innovation evaluation in open innovation communities within organizations:

The innovation evaluation part of the project aims to develop a concept as well as a prototype for the evaluation of radical innovations in open innovation communities. Furthermore, we set out to implement the concept as part of a prototype. Based on the analysis of existing innovation evaluation methods we intend to develop new techniques of innovation evaluation. Such methods should allow the integration of employees into the evaluation process. Furthermore,the methods should support the decrease of alpha errors (the innovation project fails) and beta-errors (a decision against a good innovation project). Subsequently the methods will be implemented in an integrative, prototypical process portal and afterwards tested in the business environment. The opening of the innovation evaluation for all employees improves the ability to innovate and therefore contributes to the overall objective of the project.
